BYU Chemistry Day for Students

BYU will be hosting its annual Open Lab Day on Saturday, May 12th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Details can be found at ychem.byu.edu, including a registration form for students. Students may also register starting at 9 am in the Benson Building.
Open Lab Day allows aspiring young minds to conduct real experiments in college level labs. Our goal is to spread the love of chemistry and critical thinking and to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers. All experiments are safe and will be supervised by chemistry majors. The experiments will also fit the age group of the student.
Please ensure that all participating students adhere to the safety regulations (closed toed shoes, long pants, sleeved shirts, etc.). Adherence to these rules will be mandatory; those who do not adhere to them may not enter the labs. All other safety equipment (goggles, gloves) will be provided.
*** We ask that parents accompany elementary age students. ***
Some of the experiments look fun!
